1. I wonder if the same thing that happened to beckham is going to happen to ronaldo, i'm almost sure his best years were spent in Manchester United, now his performance is to decline.

Sampras vs Federer Wimbledon 2001 Round 4

Few comments:
One of the greatest matches ever played on center court. Fed was somewhat unknown back then. Sampras wasn't playing a bad match, it was Federer showing some signs of genius.

Federer is now the greatest IMO and will add at least a couple more titles over the next few years.

Pete was only 29 here. Roger was just 19. Pete should've had the advantage by so much experience and championships. A true testament to Federer's greatness. He would do the same to Agassi, who would last much longer than Sampras.

There's no way of knowing for sure who would win this titanic match of grass court heavyweights in their respective primes.

These were the days of Fed with the pony tail serving and volleying on grass. what a great man and the crying at the end makes him a true champion in my opinion

Federer interviewed by McEnroe after winning French Open 2009

excerpts from web in praise of federer on winning French Open

Roger will always miles ahead and he sets higher standards when compared to players of any generation.

20 consecutive Grandslam semi-finals, someone with extraordinary skill for sure!! the man is incredible. The year in which he was "supposed" to have "declined" (2008), he reached 3 out of 4 Grand Slam finals and won his 5th consecutive US Open. His greatness is justified in every respect.

Nadal is a great player but what separates great players from champions is the ability to perfectly balance skill, fitness & have the drive to consistently play at the top level.

The point is, Roger played consistently throughout and deserved to win. I think beating nadal on clay before and owning the guy who took out nadal is good enough. Whether you like it or not, Federer is going down as the greatest.

Conclusion : Federer is the greatest till date.

enjoy the interview with McEnroe

Federar in french open final : A man runs on court and comes too close to federer

During the second set of the french open final a man runs on the court and approaches federer then off course been held by security guard.
But important to note how all those securtiy guys missed him in first attempt and looked like given up when he started running on the other side of the net.
Security guards too slow to react. Reminds me of Monica Sales case when she was stabbed on her back.

Look at the reactions of both players. Both seemed very calm during all this and not reacted violently..
